Services

*Eligibility for all programs, except Advocacy, is determined by the Franklin/Fulton Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention Program. Please call 717-264-5387 to determine eligibility. If eligible, all services are provided at no cost to the consumer but require authorization through the consumer's Intellectual Disability Support's Coordinator.

Advocacy

Advocacy services help to ensure individuals with disabilities enjoy the same rights, access to opportunities (educational, employment, community living, health care, etc.) and privileges as other citizens. Advocacy is offered free of charge to anyone in need of these services. Please call the office at 717-264-4390 for more information. 

Companion Services

Provided to adult individuals living in private residences for the purpose of providing supervision and minimal assistance that is focused on the health and safety of the individual. Assistance can include: Grooming, healthcare, household chores, meal preparation, planning and socialization. Small group Companion services are also available.

In Home & Community Supports (IHCS)

Provided to adult individuals in private residences and community settings to protect the health and welfare of individuals and assist in acquiring, maintaining, and improving self-help, domestic, socialization and adaptive skills.

Respite Care

Provides short term specialized care in or out of the family home and with every aspect of the individual's daily life. Respite services are direct services to provide relief to families. Respite care is commonly used for families to go on vacations or if the usual caretaker has an illness. Days are available to families based on funding availability.

Socials

The Arc hosts free social events throughout the year for individuals with disabilities. These events range from paint nights, to bingo, to ice cream socials. You can find out more specifics in our Newsletter, or on the homepage of the website, under "Upcoming Events". Everyone is welcome to attend!

Transportation

Transportation is provided to adult consumers to and from local day programs. The cost is determined on a per trip basis, with transportation one-way to any given location being a "trip." For example, taking an individual from home to work, and then back again is considered two trips.
